He gives me such a great understanding of... meaning. Go ahead and watch all his stuff or do something useful... or just try to understand.

PHSHOOT Monika 11.05.23

So, I think this is my one of the last photoshoot with model in my creepy home studio set. I think I've approved my pretty cheep home-made lightning set with backdrop from fabric store and two big cardboard boxes as my stands for lightning. And that's pretty it from my set. By the way, a bit later I'll write a bit more about my equipment and other stuff.


And as always, it was pretty hard to decide what the actual looking I wanted to see. After all, I came up with black and white, because the black background appeared to be really eye-caching. The first coloured shot was my very first result, but as you can see I didn't liked it as much as BW. 


I really liked working with model. It was simple and enjoyable. I'm strongly convinced that this model could show up in a real stage. In my opinion she has almost everything what model needs except confidence and will. Sometimes it's really hard to see such a perspective people with no self-confidence. At least I believe that they will be evaluated in this corporeal world.

My latest work 'Black Death'

So today I want to introduce you my latest work. I have spent a lot of time for it. And it was devoted as my creative work for Art exam. I don't know how many scores I have gathered and what mark I've got and actually I don't care about it, because I'm happy with it. I did everything what I could and as I said, I'm pretty happy with it. It's unusual, creative and interesting. 


From the beginning, I wasn't sure what I will be making. Everything I knew was the main keys: interesting, different, unseen and cool. And I also wanted it to be not only great looking from the first sight, but also tough from its idea. So I started to surf and try to find what's already created. As expected I found something really interesting and what attracted my eye. The thing is that when I saw it I was completely sure that I'll be able to defend what was already in my head. And the work began. 

Work and inspiration

The art I wanted to rely and where the inspiration came from was Eclipse work from Nick van Woert. But... I didn't knew what is the meaning of all his woks and I absolutely didn't care. I already had my own. Everything I was interested in, was the technique. So I began to experiment with the clay and try to find the alternative for the black liquid. And after some time I made the mask and found the alternative liquid. The main mask was almost done. Everything I needed was to paint my mask and pour black glue. And here the problems began. I totally messed up with my spray paints. I'm not going to talk exactly about what was wrong and how I solved the problem, but the thing is that it took me one more bunch of sleepless nights. And, after all, I made it. And yeah... that was just the main stuff I mentioned.

The idea

As you can see below, Nicks work wasn't the main inspiration source. When I began mainly to work with the idea, I was happy when I found even more stuff which represents my main meanins. After a couple more days I also found the protest, which made my work even stronger.

 

 

So, the main thing is the Venetian long nose mask, which represents the Black Death from 1348-1350. The Black Death was one of the most devastating pandemics in human history. And it is estimated to have killed 30% – 60% of Europe's population, reducing the world's population from an estimated 450 million to between 350 and 375 million in 1400.

And the other also very important thing from my work is humans face lower part and the black leaked glue, which represents todays oil spills in America and all around the world. It also takes many lives, but this is happening much more slowly.

In summary, the main idea is deaths and pollution all around the world. It was also short. Just to cover the meaning. I think I could write a book about my work. xD

The work now is in a small exhibition in my town. My mom said that she's going to hang my work on the wall.

Frozen

I don't know how many times I was changing the overall image look for this one. From the first time I was held on black and white, but during some time I saw that it didn't quite fit. So, I totally began to experiment and try to find the best look for this particular shot. And this time it was so hard to find something best. But after a few days I think I found it. I saw that in my photography step by step everything wants to last longer. More about that I'll write in my next post soon.

Also I want to mention that this photoshoot took two tries. First one was with a make-up and second time I wanted to try without it. And I don't want to talk a lot for nothing with 'why' and 'because'. I hope you'll find out the naturalness and beauty of this peace.

EDIT 18.05.11 I made a mistake saying that this shot is 1-year-old so far. Well, it actually isn't. :) But, anyway, I think you got that this one is my very first and old shot.

When I looked the camera data of this particular shot I was amazed how old this picture is. Actually I took it in 2010 May, so it's now about a year. Maybe for some of you it'll appear not as such a long time, but for me, yeah... Anyway, that appears to be a really long time.

Poetry and Minimalism

I haven't posted any poetry before, so this is the first time. Unfortunately, this isn't mine and I even don't know whom it belongs to. Anyway, the strangest thing is that when I was surfing in tumblr I found Für Alina track and the poetry next to each other. And this combination work quite strangely and unique. Have no words to express that intelligibly.

I spent my days clinging,
clinging to your shirt, greedily,
wanting things to return to how they were,
prodding the rotting carcass of our relationship,
but in the end I had to leave it out in the sun,
at some point I think we all do

Resurgence of nature

At late winter, I and my friend went to chill a bit in one really beautiful place near our town. The snow was melting quickly and the smell of resurgence of nature was saying about the spring. It was really warm and sunny day. 

Working on

Ok. There's a lot coming up, but for now I want to say that I'm really busy in these days. I'm working with my new project, (actually it should be in plural) reading, learning with C4D, Camera RAW, Photoshot and etc. ect. I'll write about everything here in the near future. There's also going to be some new work and photoshoots... so, keep in touch and have a great weekend for all of you! ;]]

Rugile 11.04.19 PHSHOOT

Somewhere before a month I went to capital with hope that I will be able to take some great shots of Rugile. But I didn't. And yeah, that was really sad for me. The weather wasn't as good as we expected, so I can't blame myself too hard this time.

Every time do everything better that good.

Shortly about the model

Rugile actually was modelling a few times before, so I can say that this particular photoshoot was the best talking about the same model, clothing and most importantly - experience.

So, she finally came back to home for a short holiday the last week and we finally did some kind of fashion shooting. I must mention that this photoshoot was done almost without any preparation. Why? Because we wasn't even planning anything about the preparation. lolz But, anyway, I think we did really well.

By the way, I think I'm getting used to the word 'model'. God bless me.
